Students are at a point in their life where though largely innocent, they need prayers. Prayer is the key… It is not a cliché. As a parent, teacher or even friend, you have students in your life who need you to commit them into the hands of their marker.
Effective Morning Prayers for Students

1. Dear father, thank you once again for today, as always. Thank you for the brain you’ve given these students and the wisdom you’ve granted them. Today, I pray you open their minds to learn and grant them retentive memory and understanding in all they learn. Help them oh, Lord. Amen.
2. It’s another day, dear father. I thank you, Lord, for the opportunity to be called a parent. Thank you for giving these children to me. And I pray they see you in all they do today, and forever, in Jesus name. Amen.
3. Lord, I thank you for my friend, thank you because you have heeded my need and given me (Debby) as a friend to make my journey in this school smoother in Jesus name. I pray we will grow together in knowledge and understanding of you and be sound academically, among our peers. Amen.
4. Father of all lights and knowledge, I commit my students into your hands today, Lord. I pray that they will be made proper like it was said of Moses, in Jesus name. The will not be ordinary but exhibit extraordinary traits in all that they do, Lord, even as they start another day in their studies. Amen.
5. Lord, today, I pray for my children that they will not be the children of Belial, in Jesus name. They will not be rebellious children who would become a disgrace and bring sorrow to their family and the society at large in Jesus name. In all that they will do as students, let your name be glorified and make them a great example to all their peers. Amen.
6. Lord, I commit, today, the fruits of my womb into your mighty hands, that these ones will serve the Lord. My Redeemer, they will not encounter anything in school that would turn them away from you. Their academics will create an avenue for them to you more in Jesus name. Amen.
7. I pray, Lord, that as I teach these students today, you will open their minds to receive it. There will be none of them who would be closed-minded in Jesus name. Amen.
8. Father, I pray for my children, as they go to school today, their lives will be a light in their school in Jesus name. Amen.
9. Father, thank you for another beautiful day you have made, with these beautiful children. Lord, you have said that children are your heritage, my children will be your heritage indeed and it will show forth in their academics in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
10. Jehovah, I commit these students into your hands today that I will not teach them amiss. Everything I teach them will be right in Jesus name. Amen.
11. My saviour, I pray for these students that you have given to me. Thank you once again for their lives this beautiful morning. I pray Jehovah that they will be with a difference. By the reason of our contact together as teacher and students, my life and theirs would change for the better in Jesus name. Amen.
12. I pray for you that the excellent spirit that was on Daniel and made him excel above his counterparts is your portion. You shall excel in not only your academics but every area of your lives in Jesus name. Amen.
13. Father, I pray today for my students that you would protect and keep them under your banner. No harm would come near them even as they have come to school in Jesus name. Amen.
14. My children, I commit to your hands, Lord, that as they go about their day in school, the sun shall not smite them by day nor the moon by night. Only with their eyes shall they see the reward of the wicked because trouble shall not come near them in Jesus name. Amen.
15. Lord, I commit my friend into your hands today that even as we have found each other to be a blessing to each other in this school, we will not lose each other. None of us will die but will live to testify to the goodness of God all the days of our lives in Jesus name. Amen.
16. Father, thank you this day for my children that you have given to me. I pray for them that they will be complete children. They would not have any shortcomings in any area of their lives, academically, spiritually, socially, and character-wise in Jesus name. Amen.
17. I pray, Lord, that you would help my children today to pick their friends in school. Lord, I understand that their friends have one of the greatest influence over them and they spend most of their time with them in school. So I pray that you will give them right people who will influence them rightly in Jesus name. Amen.
18. Lord, I pray for my students as they have come another day to learn in school, that they will not be failures in Jesus name. The life of these ones would always radiate success in Jesus name. Amen.
19. Father, I pray today for my children that you will grant them favour with their teachers and fellow students as they go to school in Jesus name. Amen.
20. Lord, today is another day, I pray for my friend that you will give him/her the wisdom to deal with the affairs of today in school and outside the school in Jesus name. Amen.

23. Lord, on this day that you have made, your love will be shed abroad in the hearts of all my students for one another in Jesus name and they will be united as one. Amen.
24. All my children would be united in purpose and their love for one another would be solid, Lord in Jesus name.
25. The mighty hand of the Lord would respond to my children before their enemies today, as they go out to school. When they want to attack, they would have you, Lord, to contend with in Jesus name. Amen.
26. Father, today is another day, I ask Lord that you remember my students for good and grant them their heart desires in Jesus name. Amen.
27. Lord, I pray for these students that you will keep them from all forms of accidents as they come and go from school in Jesus name. Amen.
28. I commit my children unto your hands today, Jehovah, that they be for signs and wonders and that their lives would be a miracle in their school and their classes in Jesus name. Amen.
29. Lord, as my children are headed to school, in their studies, the world would not ask where their God is because you will show forth for them in every way in Jesus name. Amen.
30. Your word said the glory of the latter shall be greater than the former. Father, I pray that heights I did not reach in school and education, my children would reach and even surpass it in Jesus name. Amen.
31. Lord, as my children go to school today, I will not lose any of them. I would not mourn them and they would not mourn me in Jesus name. Amen.
32. My Redeemer, I pray Lord today, that even as sicknesses and diseases are flying around in schools, it will not come near my children. I pray that their lives will have testimonies of good and perfect health in Jesus name. Amen.
33. Lord, I commit my students into your hands today, is there any who is sick among them, in their bones or muscles or cells or organs? I pray that you send forth your word and heal them in Jesus name. Amen.
34. I pray, Lord, that you will grant my children the grace to withstand challenges that they might encounter in school today. It will make them grow and not break them in Jesus name. Amen.
35. Help me, Father, to love them the way you want me to so I don’t smother them and spoil them in Jesus name.
36. I pray, Lord, today for my students that their potential will be realised. It will not be killed by me, their teacher or their parents or their parents or even their school in Jesus mighty name. Amen.
37. Lord, I commit the students unto your hands on this day that you have made, that you will grant them zeal to be studious and hard working in Jesus name. Amen.
38. Jehovah, thank you for another school day. I pray that you will deliver my students from all forms of laziness and procrastination in Jesus name. They will do the right thing at the right time. Amen.
39. On this day that you have given to us, my children shall be the head and not the tail in their academics and studies, they shall be above only and never beneath in Jesus name. Amen.

46. I commit my children on this day we are rejoicing in, that you will teach them patience and honesty in dealing with their fellow students, teachers and school management in Jesus name. Amen.
47. Holy Spirit, our teacher, who brings all things to our reminder, I pray that you will teach my students, far above what I can ever teach them on this wonderful day in Jesus name. Amen.
48. I pray, Father, that in their school today, my children will not be lacking in knowledge in Jesus name. Amen.
49. Lord, I pray that you will provide for my children all things, pertaining to life and godliness as they head to school this morning. Whatever they need to live today richly in school will not elude them in Jesus name. Amen.
50. Our Saviour, we bless you for this day that you made us see. I pray for my students that you will grant them clarity of purpose for everything that they are set to do today in school in Jesus name. Amen.
